​Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.

• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.

• Follow site plans and supervisor directions to move earth or materials to specified grades.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Identify hazards and communicate issues with supervisors promptly.

• Accurately follow blueprints, site layouts, and grading plans.

• Work closely with ground crew and other operators to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.

• Keep records of equipment usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance performed.

• Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.

• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.

• Strong knowledge of safe operating procedures and equipment capabilities/limitations.

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and grade stakes.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

• Outdoor environment with exposure to weather, dust, noise, and construction hazards.

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. and sit or stand for extended periods.

Job Type: Full time

Expected Hours: 40-45 hours per week

​

Note: Must be able to work in inclement weather at times.

​

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
