Traffic Control Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Traffic Controller to oversee and manage the flow of traffic at construction sites. The ideal candidate will ensure safety and efficiency by directing vehicles and pedestrians. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site operations and the ability to communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

Design and implement traffic control plans.
Assist in building and paving operations as needed while adhering to safety protocols. Strong understanding of traffic control procedures and safety regulations.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and the public.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and maintain focus on safety at all times.
Supervise Traffic control Crew when needed.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations on-site.
Direct or assist in flagging operations.
Direct and manage traffic flow around construction zones to ensure safety for workers and the public.
Set up and maintain traffic control devices, including signs, cones, and barriers.
Communicate effectively with construction crews and motorists to facilitate smooth operations.
Monitor site conditions and adjust traffic patterns as necessary to enhance safety.
Ability to perform utility locating tasks to prevent damage to underground utilities during construction activities.

Requirements

Previous experience in a construction site environment.
Strong communication skills to effectively direct traffic and coordinate with team members.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety practices on the job site.
Valid driver's license may be required depending on specific job duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
